A:Human Food Odyssey is a weekly subscription-based ready-meal service. Based on our customers’ information, our energy calculator determines a personalised meal program that is best-fit for homo sapiens. We call this “Human Food”.

A:Human Food Odyssey gives you exactly what you need to eat. We follow solid science, we source the best top-quality ingredients, our meals are designed and made delicious by highly-trained chefs. We do not follow food trends, we stick to the fundamentals. Last but not least, our food is good for the environment we live in. So, in turn, we will have you breathing better air and drinking better water.

A:Human Food Odyssey is always on a search to discover the best fresh produce. Our ingredients are organically farmed with the most sustainable techniques by local farmers here in Australia. Some of our ingredients are also wild harvested. All our ingredients are processed in consideration of their function and impact on the human body.

A:On Order Now page, you can enter your information. Our energy calculator will then determine a meal program that is customised specifically for your needs. After you have put through your order, Human Food Odyssey team will prepare your meal program. The meals are cooked and packed with cutting-edge techniques and innovative materials in a zero-waste practice. Finally, we deliver the meals to your doorstep so you can seamlessly transition into a healthy and sustainable diet.

A:Yes. Due to the seasonality and the quality of the produce, our meals are regularly updated according to the availability. Our overall menu is changed twice a year. Special meals are added whenever we can get our hands on special ingredients for a limited time and order.

A:Yes. Due to the seasonality and the quality of the produce, minor variations in our meals are totally expected. While we do our best to keep the consistency, we encourage our customers to respect and embrace the unpredictability of the nature.

A:We take pride in our HFO menu developed by a team of experts including our in-house chef, dietitian and product developers. It is decided by what is necessary for humans to eat from an established scientific perspective. We go through an environmental and sustainability assessment to ensure that the meals are not only directly good for our human body but also for our environment in which humans are a part of. Our chef puts together these essential ingredients and designs each meal to inspire our senses.

A:When you provide your information about your age, sex, height, weight, activity level and weight goal, we are able to calculate your daily calorie need with our energy calculator. From there we can designate the number of meals you’re required to eat per day. The number of days you want to eat our HFO meals is simply decided by you.

A:Yes, you can. We automatically present you with an ideal selection of meals in your program. However, if you want to swap a meal, you can easily do so by clicking on the “swap” icon and select another option.

A:No. Human Food Odyssey meal program works its magic because we provide meal programs that is specifically personalised for our individual clients. We are not a food delivery service.

A:Our meals need to be stored below 4 degrees Celsius. As soon as you receive the meals, we recommend you to store them in the fridge. However, do not worry. Our meals are delivered in insulated boxes and are packed with ice gel pack. We take all the necessary measures to make sure that the temperate of the meals remain unchanged for up to 24 hours since they leave our kitchen.

As for the shelf-life please refer to the “use-by” date indicated on the packaging.

A:We strongly recommend you to enjoy your meals fresh. However, it is possible to freeze your meals, you wish. This will extend the shelf-life by extra two weeks from what is indicated on the packaging.

A:We recommend you to add vitamin B12 and plant-based omega-3 supplements.

Unfortunately, years and years of industrial farming has depleted the soil of its natural nutrients. This made it harder to implement vitamin B12 in our diet just with the fresh produce we eat.

As for omega-3, the easiest way to implement is via eating seafoods. However, the current fishing practices have created havoc in the ocean and are extremely unsustainable. Seafood farming also drove the quality of the seafood down considerably. This has made it impossible for us to integrate seafood in our menu offering.

A:When you place an order through the Order Now page, you are automatically subscribed to our weekly meal delivery service.

A:For our newsletter subscription, you can enter your name and email address at the bottom of our website.

A:Click the account icon of our website navigation to access your account details, order history, meal program subscription and other information here.

A:After signing in on our website, go to the Account page. Click on Manage My Meal Program tab. You can either increase or decrease the number of days for your meal program here.

A:After signing in on our website, go to the Account page. Click on the Subscription Management tab. You can either pause or cancel your subscription here.

A:Go to the Account page and sign-in. Click on the My Account Details and change your delivery address.

A:First, cancel your current subscription on your account page. Then, go to the “Order Now” page and fill in the energy calculation with your new information. Place your order. Your account with us remains the same however your meal program has been updated.

Orders

A:For Sunday/Monday delivery, the order cut off is Tuesday 8pm. If you wish to make any changes to your meals or order information, please do so before Tuesday 8pm.

Since we prepare all of our customers’ meal program on demand, it is important we follow a strict timeline. This ensures the freshness and quality of our meals as well as the environmental sustainability.

Any changes made after the cut off time, is automatically applied to the order for the week after.

A:No. Human Food Odyssey meal program works its magic because we provide meal programs that is specifically personalised for our individual clients. We are not a food delivery service. We highly recommend our customers to at least try a week. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

A:The amount you pay for each week is determined by the number of meals per day and the number of days per week.

A:Upon placing your first order, your first payment is processed. After that, your regular payment occurs every Wednesday, following the order cut-off time (Tuesday 8pm).

A:Unfortunately we are not able to confirm your order when your payment has failed. We will apply your order to the next delivery date once your payment has gone through successfully.

To avoid any issues for your payment and order, email reminders for your next order will be sent weekly. Please ensure your payment details are up to date on your account page.

Delivery

A:Your order is delivered either Sunday evening (6-9pm) or Monday morning (6-10am) every week.

A:We use solar-powered electric vehicles to conduct our delivery service as green as possible. We only deliver locally within Sydney Metro area so as to reduce our carbon footprint.

A:Our delivery boxes are insulated to keep your meals fresh for 24 hours. The ice gel packs place in your delivery box help maintain the temperature internally.

We prepare your meals on demand before the delivery day.

We provide delivery notice as soon as it has been fulfilled via email. Our courier is also instructed to leave your box in an ideal spot where it is the least exposed to direct sun or high temperature where possible.

A:All of our HFO meals are packaged in compostable PLA meal tray and compostable PLA film. This is to ensure your meals are not exposed to harmful plastic and so that we can be as zero-waste as possible. The containers are sealed in a controlled atmosphere using the higher standard machinery, to preserve the organoleptic properties and freshness of the meals for up to 14 days.

Sustainability

A:As per our mission, Human Food Odyssey aims to revolutionise the way we consume energy. We look at our planet’s energy as a whole and wishes to better manage it to all homo sapiens. With what our local Australian environment provides us cocktailed with our innovation technology and, we create the right amount of energy and the appropriate composition of it in our central cooking facility just like the coal power plant. Our energy calculator is a tool we use to determine our individual customer’s needs. All energy we consume should leave the least amount of trace so that everything works in closed system.

A:We search for the best fresh produce that is organically farmed with the most sustainable techniques by local farmers here in Australia.

That is why we mostly offer plant-based food.

A:Our ingredients are processed in consideration of their function and impact on the human body. Our meals are made to order, based on our customers’ needs, the meals are cooked and packed with cutting-edge techniques and innovative materials in a zero-waste practice.

A:We use solar-powered electric vehicles to conduct our delivery service as green as possible. We only deliver locally within Sydney Metro area so as to reduce our carbon footprint.

A:All of our HFO meals are packaged in compostable PLA meal tray and compostable PLA film. So, they are completely safe to be composted in home setting and are therefore zero-waste. However, if you are unable to compost at home, we encourage you to take the containers and the film to the nearest composting facility.

The paper sleeves are recyclable.

The ice gel pack is made of recyclable lining and gel content which can be disposed in sink.

The order box is recyclable. We also recommend you upcycle it for storage purposes.
